I've decided that this summer I'll finally try to give the genre a chance, so I dusted off Arcana Heart 3 which I bough ~1½ years ago but never played (part of the reason I bought it was to get some references to the Arcana Juice series). Jesus Christ, why isn't there some sort of a tutorial mode?

I got my ass handed to me by the CPU, and I just spent an hour in the training mode trying to pull off a single 13-hit combo, and I didn't get it right even once. This'll be fun once I decide to try my luck online.

Updated FAQ page!

I looked through the FAQ page some weeks ago and realized that most of what's on there was written in ~2010. Over the last few weeks, I've gone through the whole page and updated and/or added things to it, so the info on that page should now be completely up-to-date. I've also enabled comments, so feel free to comment!

The info on the about page is even older, so I'll also rewrite that page eventually.

I've also decided to bring back the dedicated series--now limited to doujin series. While I've been dedicated to these series for a long time already, this is just to make things a bit more convenient/official by making progress and intent public.

Haha, time for jokes!

Staying true to the original, this doujin has a ton of puns, and most of Araragi and Hachikuji's standard routines show up here with an h-twist. Since most of these puns are word plays, they're pretty hard to "translate" without changing them completely--unfortunately, "was it a cat i saw" doesn't always work--so I've left plenty of comments and notes throughout the doujin.

The story starts off with Araragi having taken Hachikuji's backpack to keep her from leaving his house, and the format from there on is basically that the situation escalates after each pun.

She's back! This is the latest appearance of the big, brown bombshell Anette-san. This chapter is 12 pages long, which is really long for a full color manga!

I added a bonus 2-page-spread illustration from Tenma's 150th issue, whenever that was, at the end of this chapter. I also did a quick-and-dirty stitched-together version.

Apparently there's an "S" chapter as well in Tenma 2012-07, but there are no scans for that issue. Of course, if it shows up, I'll translate that one as well.

I feel like Yukimi has two settings: "XD" and "D:", and this one would fall into the second category. A girl runs away from home after some family issues (which are revealed at the end of the chapter). She get by through sleeping with random guys in exchange for a place to sleep and (I suppose) some money for food. One day she comes across a kind store clerk who offers to let her stay at him place without demanding sex in return.

As a counterbalance, you also get the much more cheerful chapter 8, originally translated by Kusanyagi, and now reedited by AAA!
