Not sure how I feel about this chapter. It's about a girl who's only friend is an imaginary one, and I feel kinda bad for her in the early pages. That friend, however, is rather headstrong, and her taking over the body leads to some typical wacky Amatarou stuff.

04 - Love Suggestion

This story has a lot of references to the paranormal. Some of these are rather well-known, but I'll list everything anyway just to be thorough:

First off, most people probably know that UFOs are Unidentified Flying Object, but UMA stands for Unidentified Mysterious Animal (e.g., the Loch Ness Monster).

All the characters BBS handle names are based on UFOs/UMAs: Foo fighter, Bigfoot, Chupacabra, and Greys, with the exception of Addams, who's most likely named after the family and its creator.

The song on his phone is "LOVE PHANTOM" by B'z (the actual sentence can be heard [in Japanese] here), which was used as the ending theme for The X-Files in Japan. Between PreCure and now X-Files, I think we can conclude that Amatarou has excellent taste when it comes to TV shows.

The gist of "Misattribution of arousal" is that people can mistake one form of excitement (e.g., from fear, like in this story) with sexual arousal. Apparently watching scary movies with someone you're interested in works on several levels.

Here's a continuation of this chapter. The couple goes shopping for clothes on their first date. After Chiharu has found some cute clothes for himself, he convinces Tomoka to get a new swimsuit for the upcoming summer season.

Unfortunately, this is the last chapter in this "series." Fortunately, the next chapter (which I finished the script for today) is really nice as well, so more good stuff is on its way!

Last summer, AntiAgingAnon reedited these three chapters using the tankoubon version, I changed some lines, and they were proofread. However, I wasn't happy with chapter 6, which I translated back in 2009, and I decided it'd be easier to just redo the translation instead of trying to change the existing script.

We both apparently forgot about it until recently when I found these files. So, after a very long delay, here's a brand new translation for the "Memory" story, as well as a tankoubon reedit for all three chapters.

Since the hip thing to do right now seems to be to release projects that has taken forever to complete, I'll do the same.

AntiAgingAnon suggested this late July last year-just over eight months ago. Unfortunately I can't blame this on anyone but myself. I simply never started on it.

I usually consider magazine versions blasphemy, but AntiAgingAnon promised to reedit this and the prequel, The Sweet Chance, once they're compiled in a tank.

This chapter continues the story in The Sweet Chance with the clumsy, big breasted (in my Amatarou manga?) Ayumi. This time her friend/boss is added to the cast; a man-hater who tries to force Ayumi to give up on men by stealing every boyfriend she makes.

Last chapter of the book, once again, edit by AntiAgingAnon. About a dojikko in glasses who wants to prove to her parents that she can make it on her own. Turns out she pretty much can't, and she ends up mooching off her new found (tiny) friend. Like every other girl in anime and hentai, she can't cook, but she want to thank him for taking care of her. Defying all rational thinking, she decides to cook for him. How will it all end? Tits :D
Also, the moral of the story is "it's the thought that counts." That's nice.

As always I filled in a couple of previously untranslated parts, but pretty much every page has had at least one line change. Most of the lines are just rephrased, so hopefully you'll find this version more pleasant to read. Also it has been proofread.

[Amatarou] Lesson to You ex - Haruno Kaori Chapter

Here's the next Amatarou chapter, edited by AntiAgingAnon. It's a new story to the "Lesson to You" series, which never appeared in a magazine. If you're familiar with the series, it's about the small girl who never got much action in the main story, and the big guy with the afro. It's a pretty big size difference. It seems like he can reach around her torso with his hands. Also the girl is flat chested, so yeah, there you go. Flat chested Amatarou, it exists (it's pretty hot too). One more chapter to go (back to bakunyuu).

Much like with the Daisy book, most chapters of Amatarou's new book, "Lesson to You", were already translated by the time it came out. Me and AntiAgingAnon will finish the book, and there's two untranslated chapter left.

Here's an updated version of this. The next chapter, an after-story to the "Lesson for You" story, will probably be out in a couple of days.  We will not redo the whole book. We only did this because it's 1: short, and 2: the only chapter translated by me.
