05 - Saki Ura
Turns out this is sorta a continuation from previous chapters: after getting married in chapter 4, the pair from chapter 2 had a child. Now, several years later, that child is helping out his Mom's (now adult) younger sister who has realized her dream of becoming a manga artist.
To make ends met, she also does some ero manga on the side, and with her regular guy unable to help, her nephew has to lend her a helping hand.

ReplyDeleteI never thought of it that way. If you want a happy ending, there's nothing concrete stopping you from thinking that really.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the title "saki ura" translates to "bloom behind." With the flowers still being buds on the first page and flowers in the last, I would assume that's in the future and that she left again.
But again, it's pretty vague. She could've left last year when the trees were blooming.
450 does not get you a cake, but I'll give you a high five.
ReplyDeleteIt was sad, but ending it that way was also more "real" than most H manga, so I quite liked it because of that. (It's rare that I actually feel anything for H manga characters, but I actually felt bad for these two.)
