One more chapter to go, I hope there will be a 4th part to this on the upcoming Comic Market (which is one month away!). I get the feeling that this chapter is trying to built up for something, so there ought to be more chapters than three.
It's kind of short, but still enjoyable.

Mediafire?
Mediafire has never been a good uploading site, it takes forever to upload a file, no rewards, faulty "lol virus!" warnings where you have to upload the file two times, maintance downtime, there used to be problems getting a download to start, and lately I seem to end up with a lot of corrupt files after uploading them.
So... let's try Megaupload for a while instead.
Here's some tips to make those 45 seconds of wait time less hellish:
A free account cuts the wait time from 45 sec to 25, which is better than nothing.
Every weekday between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM UTC you get free premium privileges *.
I have the toolbar installed on IExplorer so I just post the links there during those hours.

Cheers man.
Actually, those wait times are gone. Happy hour is more or less gone too. In return, you can download in parallel though they cap speed I believe. Even the download limit seems gone now.
ReplyDeleteStrangely enough for me (and everybody in my house), there doesn't seem to be a wait time for us in MU, anymore.
ReplyDeleteThere actually still is somewhat of a limit, but it takes forever to hit it.
ReplyDeleteActually, when you do, it just makes it so you can only download 1 file at a time for a while.
Megaupload's limits have become extremely lax in general. It's probably one of the easiest uploading services to download large amounts of junk from now.

ReplyDeleteActually, MU behaves like that mostly if it identifies your IP as USA-based. Limitations for other countries are far tighter, i.e.: wait time + only one connection at a time from a given IP + limited to around 250~300MB every 2hs or so. The only change I noticed in recent months is that now it allows resuming downloads from different IPs. However, as far as I can tell, you must use the exact same URL (the one you get in the HTTP headers not the URI with the code) to do so, which means once the download link expires, resume would once again render impossible. Unless you are using their "MegaManager".
On the other hand, MediaFire won't make you wait for a link (and if you use SkipScreen the download will show up immediately as if it were a normal DDL), plus you can have several established connection in parallel from a single IP (don't know exactly how many but I can normally have more than 15), resume is also supported (from the starter or different IPs) with no limitations regarding the expiration of links, also I would say the speed is fairly good, as I can usually download at around 350kBps (that's about 90% of my contracted bandwidth). At least that's how it is from the south of the world.
The sole snag I can have with MF is that from time to time some download servers seem to be down (f.i. download671.mediafire.com is unreachable for me right now) yet the script that ought to generate the download links keeps returning the same node. Nevertheless I've never counted more than a day until the problem was fixed.
Anyway...
Oh, I forgot to thank YQII for the release, shame on me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for my daily dosis YQII!
wow, didnt know mega upload haf free premium hours, i just thought they for rid of the doenload time.
ReplyDeleteuse that from now on, its beter than rapidshare at least and it about on par with mediafire
I don't think I've had a problem with MU for a long, long time now. Every once in a while, MF will not work right, and RS....ugh.
ReplyDeleteI for one support our new MU overlords.
Even with the stricter download limits in non-US countries, Megaupload is one of the best download services in my opinion, right next to Mediafire, although if what you're saying is true, the upload side might be much worse. Every other service hentai uploaders normally use (Uploading.com, Hotfile, Easyshare, Rapidshare, Sharingmatrix and Depositfiles are the most common ones, I believe) is much stricter with wait times, download speed and download limits.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for the release.
ReplyDeleteTerrific job as always, YQII.
ReplyDeleteWhich download sites you use doesn't much matter to me, even long waiting times are okay.
I cannot download from RS or MU. My internet service provider use the same/few ip address for their customer. So, there are thousands other user use the same ip address as me. I can use proxy server but the connection is slow and sometimes it disconnect/timeout. Cannot resume.
ReplyDeleteLucky there fakku. Tq.

ReplyDeleteI want to believe that you are in fact one of those who suffer them, otherwise that opinion...
Well, I know I will miss MF links.
I am. I live in Hungary.
ReplyDeleteexcept mediafire, i dont know any other free service hosting which allows you to download multiple file at a time and almost unlimited connection.
ReplyDeletei know its hard but then, gambare!!! haha.
In my country, MU slows as hell, RS puts up some strict country slots, some of other hosting site wont even start. But as long as you have uploaded to Fakku!, I can still view them all online, although slow.
Mediafire anyday for me =/

What he said. I have never downloaded from MU or RS. Not my choice, just that everytime I try, they insist i have exceeded a download limit.
