[GaRyuuYa] Stripe 32 Beat
First off, yes this is work safe. You see a pair of panties pulled down one inch, but that's about it. I figured "Yuri" would be the best category for this. A K-on doujin (Seems like "doujin" doesn't mean "Naruto porn" *shock*) with focus on Azusa and her panties. The light music club has turned into the panty club, today's Azusa's turn, and the others are happy to lend her a hand~ The scans are humongous, 2222x3106, which really helped when editing this. There was a lot of text going outside the bubbles, and with the striped backgrounds in many places, this would've been a pain in the ass to work on if the lines weren't as crisp as this. I'm pretty happy over how this turned out.

[Yamatogawa] TayuTayu (NewVersion)
Since you probably didn't come here for the ecchi, here's a bonus. This book was finished some time ago, using the magazine scans for most chapters. I rather not work on magazines since, well, tankoubon/doujin > magazine versions. Luckily for us, AntiAgingAnon stepped up and reedited the whole thing with the book version! I translated the very first pages, "TayuTayu Portable", and filled in a handful of missing lines throughout the book. While on the Yamatogawa subject. The script for the final two chapters of "Taihen Yokudekimasita" are pretty much done.

Tayutayu portable is definitly worth the ink.
Erm, YQII, regarding Tayu Tayu, the complete AND uncensored version of the tankoubon version has been available since june 2009.

The translation and decensoring were made by different persons (I decensored myself the final chapter), editing the tank version to replace japanese with english dialogues, using the magazine versions as a script, and decensoring the pictures on the fly..
I don't know if posting a deep link to the page of my blog where I posted the final repacking would be allowed, so I won't do it.
But well, now, you know.
The internet being the internet, the day after I first posted it on my blog it was already available everywhere else, so I trust you won't have any difficulty in finding it :)

ReplyDeleteIf you mean this, it looks like a decensored version of the magazine translations.
It's also missing a translation for the first few pages.
I may be mistaken of course, YQII, but I DO believe this version IS the tank version, using the pictures of the tanks and editing them with the dialogues of the magazines.

In a tankoubon the author's name isn't listed on every chapter, the text that's there to catch the interest of the reader ("Flanked by two beautiful sisters") is removed, and there's no advertising, "buy my other book ___". It might be because they're resampled for online viewing, but they're also smaller, 992x1400 vs 1100x1600. There's probably some visual changes as well if you were to compare them side-by-side.
Is TayuTayu Gaiden also in it?

ReplyDeleteas far as i can tell - olivers old version is hq magscan with untranslated parts (Frontcover, tayu tayu portable) taken from the tank. Now if we just had some decent decensor availbe right now ;-)

And since this is on the subject of Yamatogawa, awesomeness, and reedits, was Yamatogawa's Witchcraft ever re-edited into it's Tankoubon version? I remember that translation being done with the magazine scans also.
ReplyDeleteI was actually looking for that yesterday. All I could find was decensored magazine scans put together with the cover and other tank-exclusive pages. I'd be happy to see a reedited version myself, but sadly I don't think there exists one.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought. I've got the mag scans + tank-exclusive pages also. Maybe AAA will kindly guide Witchcraft to the light like he did TayuTayu if he so chooses. The thought of 3 Yamatogawa tankoubons sends shivers down my spine lol. With Taihen 1 chapter away from completion, 2 out of 3 Yamatogawa tanks already makes my H-manga collection look orders of magnitude better lol.
