Mediafire not working?

mf-problem

MF is having problem, the files are not deleted and it's not because of the lix.in links.
If you're having problem downloading, use the RS mirror or:
Go back > Refresh the page > Download again > Repeat

  1. YQII-kun, hey, YQII-kun,

lemme guess, the page refreshes itself when you click on the download link?

Just use other browsers to download it then. It works for me that way.

  3. I wonder if Mediafire's issues might not have something to do with it being Wednesday / Thursday, when American comic books are being scanned and uploaded to free file hosts. I know they aren't the only one having issues lately.

  4. I get an error page on Firefox/ Safari, seems to work on IE, I've only tried Safari/ IE a few times so this could just be a coincident. I've had some problems uploading to RS/MF as well.
The point is it's not my fault the link doesn't work the first time you click it, just try again and don't bother me about it. I'm always scared all the files has been deleted and I have to re-upload them all every time someone says "X link doesn't work" :D

  5. I can no longer use mediafire myself because of firewall. It hates mediafire's cookie.

  6. well there are worse than the worst it seems.

anyway, i'm using opera and it seems to be going well.

and it always shows Http://IP, however my friend using firefox and the problem occurred. Hmmm... I wonder.

  7. I know why mediafire links doesn't work, it is because of someone uploaded again the exact filename of the file uploaded to MF making it a perfect duplicate on the mediafire servers. So, if someone wants to upload again the files downloaded from mediafire, make sure that you RENAME the file that you get on mediafire.

  8. I think it is the lix.in crap, it always comes up with an error but i copy the actual mediafire link for it from the page (in the file information box) and enter that into my URL bar, works fine then.

  9. Try clicking on the link in the info section of the mediafire page, this will refresh the download link with the correct address.

  10. agree with what Whirm said works every time

I think most of the errors have to do with the redirect site going to mediafire

  11. Right-clicking and copying the Download URL works the best without any refreshing.

  12. For some reason whenever I wait about 30 seconds after the page with the link fully loads I have either been really lucky and always get the download. But it always redirects me if I activate the link or even if i copy the link while the page is either still loading or just got done.

  13. well i did a little research on this problem, and it seems like they changed the script which was generating the download link(cause before it didnt cause problems). also bug in the script lists the folder location (like someone mentioned here before), but not the server (ip of the server) on which that folder is located.

this is purely technical bug and mediafires staff should hopefully debug it in the next few days (but it seems that this is not their only problem, as i see that some of their servers are unresponsive, and they dont have good backup for that)

  14. Right. I use Firefox and eventually gave up even trying the download link at Mediafire the first time. I just go to the page as directed, let it load, immediately refresh it, then download.

It's really only one extra step as I click Refresh or hit F5. Works fine.
